About Brighton College

  • Brighton College was founded in 1845 and is today the top co-educational school in England.

  • The College’s former pupils number amongst Britain’s foremost business, professional, and political leaders, achieve national recognition in sports, and regularly appear on our stage and screen. See the History section to discover more about some of our Old Brightonians.
  • Brighton was named The Sunday Times Independent School of the Year, 2011-12.
  • Richard Cairns was named Tatler Headmaster of the Year, 2012-13.
  • Brighton was named UK Independent School of the Year 2013-14 at the Independent School Awards.

All of these are hugely important factors that parents describe as having influenced them in choosing a Brighton College education for their son or daughter. Above all else, however, parents remark upon the warm, happy, vibrant and positive atmosphere that struck them around our campuses in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai and Bangkok. First and foremost, a Brighton College education offers a caring, supportive and tolerant environment in which children thrive and love to learn.
