The Process

There are three key stages to our process. First, we work with you to explore the feasibility of the project before formalising the agreement with a Memorandum of Understanding. From here, the operating company is formed and a business plan and pre-opening budget agreed.

At the implementation stage, building work commences, the Head, Registrar, Bursar and other senior staff are appointed, and the governing body is formed. The year one budget is also agreed.

The final stage involves the preparation and training of staff, the opening of the school, and the embedding of the Brighton College philosophy into the culture and practice of the newly-opened school. Accreditation is sought with the main professional bodies – the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) and the Headmasters’ and Headmistress’ Conference (HMC).

At every stage the BCIS team will work with you to ensure the aims, ethos and excellence of Brighton College remain central.
